Contract Wars is leaving Facebook. Greetings, dear Contract Wars players! First of all, we would like to thank you for being with us all this time, and continuously playing and supporting the project. We have decided to discontinue the operation of web-based Contract Wars for social networks, and all servers that are still running the game support will be stopped in 00:00:00 of March 8, 2018. We appreciate that for some of you, the opportunity to play with friends was a decisive factor back in the past, it used to form clans and maintain interest in the game, but now doing it through social networks has been becoming increasingly difficult. Therefore, we would like to invite you over to the standalone version — Contract Wars Client, where you’ll be able to continue playing with familiar partners and also to find new allies and opponents thanks to unified playerbase from all social networks (VK, Facebook, OK). It was launched almost a year ago, and most of the players are already there! On top of that, the advantages of client version do not here — it offers a more reliable anti-cheat protection and there is no extra surcharge to purchase the GP. Main race specifics: the clan race experience is only counted on protected servers, i.e. only those playing in client will be able to contribute to the clan victory. The clan race will be judged in 4 categories depending on the number of people in the clan: - 50 persons or less - 51 to 150 persons - 151 to 300 persons - 301 persons or more The top 10 clans in every category will be rewarded, and best 3 clans in every category will be added to Hall of Fame on the game website that will also feature the winners of all consecutive clan races. Today, we would like to present to you the result of our work aimed at solving both of these problems - the ContractWars Client! Initially, we have planned Hired Ops to become the new CW client, but it finally became evident that these two games are too different, and very many of you grew fond of CW gameplay and your accounts. Therefore, we've decided to make the ContractWars Client so you could continue playing with your accounts, not dependent on anything else. Now, a few details on advantages that CW Client can offer its players: 1 - No need to search and install obscure browsers to play CW 2 - You can play with all CW players, from all social networks 3 - Your progress will be completely saved 4 - Access through social networks will remain active as well, and your progress will be saved in any case, whether you play in browser or in client 5 - Players who play through client will have access to the additional server pool - all the same maps and modes, but protected with a new anticheat, where you'll be safe to play fair. 6 - Better GP prices. 7 - All weapons unlocked for friends connections will also be available in client Instructions for binding your account to CW Client: 1. Hello, dear friends! Here's a brief news article on what has been going on in Contract Wars lately, divided into several key topics. 1.Hackers. We are actively working on the antihack update. Some of you may have noticed that the game is being updated regularly, we actively test new methods and research the hacker countermeasures, producing good results already. We have also tuned the report system banning criteria for improved precision. Also, we will soon stage a raid to ban known members of hacking, farming and other rule-breaking communities. Even if the community is closed, membership info is still public. 2. We intend to make another iteration of the balacing update soon, based on gathered player feedback. 5. The CWSA client. We are now in the process of integrating our client into steam and preparing it for closed beta; we purposefully avoid stating the date to ensure that everything is done properly, set and ready to start when we do. This client is being developed by Absolutsoft (Battlestate Games, developing Escape from Tarkov, is a different studio).

Although we know that in the heat of the battle it’s sometimes hard to remember why are you even fighting, and the action part prevails over motives and background, but it would be unreasonable to ignore them completely. Hence, now we’re glad to announce a writing contest inspired and themed by Contract Wars universe. It does not even have to be an individual contractor story – absolutely anything is welcome, even an epic geopolitical analysis representing your own point of view on the conflict. Well, maybe not so epic after all. As happy as we are to see your creative side, there are limitations in place, or this contest will never end. Please keep your stories within frame of 500 to 6000 charatecters of text. Term of submission is within two weeks from now, in form of a Google Documents link. Please don’t forget to make the link viewable in the access settings! And now the sweetest part, concerning rewards. 1st place – 2000 GP 2nd – 1500 GP 3rd – 1000 GP Any text that is really cool, but didn’t make it into the top-3 – 500 GP Good luck and have fun! NB: You may not submit the stories that have already been published in the previous contests; however, if your story did not take the prize, but you believe in it (in terms of plot or in some other aspects), you may rewrite it. Previous contest winners may reuse some plot elements to create a sequel or a prequel, but otherwise it should be an original story. From their numbers you can easily assume the total number of banned. 5) Due to scrutiny and attention given to each of these bans, no appeals are available. Good news everyone! We would like to announce things that will be included in the update. 1. Rouette will have GP bonus sector, which will give you temporary bonus to GP which you will buy. The bonus works onl for one purchaise for limited time. 2. We are currently developing different types of ammunition for shotguns. Also shotguns will get various muzzle devices which wil affect the spread of buckshot. 3. And colored names Also there will be fixes for some old and nasty bugs and new guns for customization + new gun (SV98, AK74 and MDR-C). And we plan to return some of the weapons that were taken away from the shop. It will have enhanced stats. You will find out which one pretty soon.
