The next Derby is a Blossom Derby! Expect the following changes from a normal Derby: - Blossom tasks on the board! You can identify them by their flower pin and green border. - Blossom tasks return to the board after being completed, with additional points. They can be taken once per derby player. - A Blossom task maxes out at 400 points. - These tasks have a total timer that starts running when the first player takes it, and doesn’t reset. We are aware of the issues with both phantom help requests, and that your personal train doesn’t populate with neighbors having visitors to be picked up. Both issues will be fixed in the next official update for Hay Day. Meanwhile, please be patient as both the help requests and the personal train visitor list gets updated every 30 seconds. Thanks!

Have you spotted the oh-so-scary ghost on the lake (fishing area)? :) What kind of rewards have you got? Tip: If you spot the ghost, tap on it for free rewards! It will respawn from time to time, so keep visiting your fishing area regularly! :) Note that you need to have your fishing area unlocked in order to spot the ghost!

Ever wanted to try Hay Day food for real? Now’s your chance! And this time, we’re making Pumpkin Pie! It’s the autumn season and pumpkins are a’plenty. We’ve prepared a special recipe and video so you can follow along step-by-step. Go ahead, give it a try! Full Video with Subtitles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qASO44SbaQg Ingredients: Pie Dough: • 2 cups Flour • 2 tbsp. Sugar • 1 tsp. Salt • 1 cup Cold Butter • 1/4 cup Water Pumpkin Puree • 1 small Fresh Pumpkin (sliced and roasted) • 7/8 cups Water or • 1 1/3 cup Canned Pumpkin Puree Spice Mix: • 1/2 tsp. Ginger • 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg • 1/2 tsp. Cloves • 2 tbsp. Cinnamon • 1 tbsp. Vanilla sugar/vanilla extract Filling: Cream Cheese Layer • 1 1/3 cup Cream cheese • 1/4 cup Sugar • 2 tsp. Vanilla extract • 3 tsp. Spice mix Pumpkin Layer • 1 1/3 cup Pumpkin puree • 1/4 cup Carrot juice • 2 Eggs • 1 tsp. Spice mix • 1/4 cup Sugar Decoration: • 8 – 12 Roasted pumpkin seeds Prep time: 4 hours (including pie dough prep) Equipment: bowls, spoons, whisk, rubber spatula, blender, kitchen, scissors, knife, chopping board, rolling pin, baking beans, parchment paper, plastic wrap, oven, 10 inch pie dish Servings: 8-10 slices Method Pie Dough The day before: - Add diced, cold butter into bowl with flour, salt and sugar. - Mix until dough is nice and crumbly. - Add cold water, little by little, until dough holds together. - Fold plastic wrap over dough and refrigerate overnight. The next day: - Roll dough into a circle on floured surface, 0.5 inches thick. - Wrap the dough around your rolling pin. This will make it easier to spread over the pie dish. - Fit dough to the bottom and sides of the pie dish without stretching it out. - Trim excess dough to a 1-inch overhang around the pie dish. - Fold under to form a rim. Try making it wavy for an attractive finish. - Place in refrigerator until oven has warmed to 175°C (347°F) - Line dough with parchment paper and fill with baking beans. These help weigh down the pie dough! - Bake for 20-25 minutes. - Remove the parchment paper and baking bean weights. Use a fork to poke small holes in the bottom of the crust. - Continue baking for 10 more minutes and then set aside to cool. Pumpkin Puree - Pre-heat oven to 200°C (392°F) - Peel skin off pumpkin. - Slice pumpkin in half. Use a spoon to scrape out any seeds and pulp. - Save the seeds. We’ll use these later for decoration! - Cut pumpkin into smaller pieces and place on baking sheet. Coat with foil and roast in oven for 30 minutes. - Add roasted pumpkins and 7/8 cups of water to blender. - Pulse until very smooth. Add another splash of water if too dry. Roasted Pumpkin Seeds - Rinse pumpkin seeds with cold water. - Place seeds on baking sheet and roast in oven for 10 minutes at 200°C (392°F) - Roast until golden brown. Pie Filling Spice mix: - In a small bowl mix the dry spices. Combine the ginger, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon and vanilla sugar. This will add flavor to the cream cheese and pumpkin filling. Cream cheese layer: - Mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract and spice mix into bowl. Pumpkin layer: - In another bowl, add pumpkin puree, spice mix, sugar, carrot juice and eggs. Layering the pie - Heat oven to 175°C (347°F) - Spread cream cheese filling around the bottom of the piecrust. - Gently pour the pumpkin filling over the cream cheese base. - Bake for 30-35 minutes. - Pie getting too dark? Try covering with foil. - Once finished, set pie to cool. - Decorate with roasted pumpkin seeds. We'd love to see your creations! Expect the following changes from a normal Derby: - Increased quantities of expansion items for the barn and silo. - Special reward choices in the last threshold of each league. - Higher appearance rates for tasks containing: pumpkin, candles, cotton shirt, blue woolly hat, sweater, pumpkin pie, toffee, blackberry muffin, red berry cake, lemon curd, hot chocolate. - Each one of these can spawn tasks up to 400 points. UPDATE: We are back!! 🙂 Hay Day maintenance happening soon with fixes to the lag and negative inventory issues. - Supercharged servers - Removed some of the boosters from Spin the Wheel (caused problems) - Optimizations on server-side - Players with up to -999 items in the barn will now 0 (zero) - Players with negative amounts of items in the silo will now be 1 (one) Stay tuned, and let's hope this resolves the lag issues for most of you!

The Hay Day Kitchen: Did you miss The Raspberry Muffin recipe? Now is your chance! This time – The Raspberry Muffin! We have prepared a special recipe and a video for you to follow along step-by-step. Go ahead, give it a try! Full Video with Subtitles: https://youtu.be/61vZUZKRjtk Ingredients: • 4 Eggs • ¾ Cup (170g) White Sugar • 1 ½ Cups (195g) Flour • 2tsp Baking Powder • 1 tsp Salt • 1tsp Vanilla Extract • ¼ Cup (50g) Milk • ½ Cup (100g) Butter (melted) • Fresh Raspberries • Muffin paper cups and/ or muffin tray Sugar Syrup • ½ Cup (120g) White Sugar • 1⁄3 Cup (80g) Water Servings: 12 muffins Method: - Pre-heat the oven to 200°C (392°F) - In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until creamy and foamy. - In a separate bowl, measure and mix all the dry ingredients together. - With a sieve, add half of the dry ingredients in to the creamy egg and sugar mix, and stir – But don't over mix the batter. - Stir in the melted butter and milk. - Then, add the rest of the dry ingredients and mix. - Set up the muffin tray and add 3 fresh raspberries in bottom of every muffin paper. - Divide batter in to the muffin papers, filling 3/4 to each one. - Bake the muffins in the oven for 5 minutes. - Lower the temperature to 180°C (356°F). - Bake the muffins for 10-15 minutes more. - When muffins are ready, set them aside to cooldown. Making the Sugar Syrup: - Measure sugar and water in a pot. - Boil syrup for 5 min and let it cool down. - Decorate ready muffins with fresh raspberries, using the sugar syrup as glue. Good luck! :)

This Derby is a Blossom Derby! Expect the following changes from a normal Derby: - Blossom tasks on the board! You can identify them by their flower pin and green border. - Blossom tasks return to the board after being completed, with additional points. They can be taken once per derby player. - A Blossom task maxes out at 400 points. - These tasks have a total timer that starts running when the first player takes it, and doesn’t reset. When the timer runs out, they expire from the task board. Good luck and have fun :)
